This project reimagines the classic board game Monopoly to explore the theme of "Open Culture" — promoting access to information, collaboration, and the removal of barriers to creativity. Players acquire digital resources such as open-source projects, Wikipedia pages, and innovation hubs, rather than traditional properties. The branding and design reflect the digital and inclusive nature of open culture, with elements like digital tokens, open knowledge cards, and unique player tokens symbolising online identities. The game encourages players to engage with and advocate for a more open, accessible, and collaborative world.
